Salesforce Fact #182 | Create field on object from developer console

Do you know we have an option to create field in object while coding in developer console. Currently it supports text, number and date type. Once the field is created, the FLS and page layout enablement is not done automatically, We need to take care of those. But still it is a useful option to create new field on the fly.

    Thanks to figure it out but i tried same but no such options are coming in dev console to create a field..
    Do I need to enable anything before trying??

      Then you should get actually. Are you getting the option to select other fields.

    Nice Post.
    You can also create bulk custom fields in salesforce using BOFC
